Or at least thinking about it.
How many times has it happened to you where you decide to start getting in shape, whether this be running more often [or starting to do so in general], going to the gym and working out, or even maybe just eating healthier? Now how many times have you done this and given up 5 minutes later?
Yes, will, it is a very trivial thing. We may have a lot of it, but when we need it, most won’t use it. I have decided to finally dip into that deep pit of effort and attempt this “getting in shape” thing.
I guess the determination to get into the pit probably came up from that one night… [Exactly what you’re thinking XD] No, it was just a late night of fangirl-ing, so it’s really, rather sad >_>. I noticed the clock said “4:15 AM” […ish] I felt … let’s say blob-like, as I sat in my chair for the nth hour of being glued to my computer screen, scanning through the many stalker videos [yeah when you realize what you’re watching the guilt slowly seeps in]. Anyways, I decided, “Let’s go for a run”.
Now let me tell you, I have absolutely no stamina what so ever when it comes to running, I last a good 5 meters before I start crawling back to my door in search of a deliberator, but somehow this morning[?] was different. I went out, and then I kept going, and going. By the time I got back home from the many twists and turns of my neighborhood and looked at the time, I had run for a whole hour.
Since that night I’ve been trying to get up in the morning to run… and that pit, I think it got deeper, that or I deprived it of all the will it had in it, because I haven’t gotten up to run since then. Maybe it was the rain that got me, you see the night I went out, it was maybe 5-ish degrees [[Celsius] this is a warm night in Canada, especially considering that it’s nearing the end of March] and it was raining. It was nice, cold, wet, and somehow it just worked… maybe I should just wait for the next rainy night, see if it works then.
*** I just checked the weather, apparently it’ll snow tonight… that’s umm, yeah that’s Canada… I think I’ll try it. I’ll make sure to mention in the next blog if it all worked out. ***
